SoftFlask: Good For Booze!
October 7, 2007
Nothing is better than when people take a perfectly normal product, and start using it as a flask for booze. Now, the SoftFlask from Venture Design Works may have already been designed to hold liquid, but I bet that the creators didn’t see it being used to carry around our type of liquid…
Actually designed for “the performance-minded athlete” as a gel flask, the SoftFlask is a soft and flexible plastic pouch. Because of this, it is perfect to sneak past a security pat-down at, say… a concert or a game! Although it is a gel flask — and therefore, not very big — you can still probably fit a few shots into this little thing.
And at a price of only $11, this refillable SoftFlask seems like a much more economical solution that those Pocket Shots in the long run.
And as a bonus, if you ever wanna run or something crazy like that for some reason… you’ll have a gel flask!

The Type of Flask That Giants Use
September 28, 2007

This flask is not practical. There’s no way you can fit this into your pants. In that way, I guess one could make the case that it is not a very good flask because it seemingly fails at the bottom-line objective of all flasks: concealing alcohol…
But in reality, this flask is awesome! No one will dare pull out a little 16 oz. “pussy” flask when you roll in with this one gallon behemoth from Orvis. Monogrammed and everything.
Probably mostly intended as a gag gift (an expensive one too at almost $200!)… But the joke’s on you Orvis! We’re calling your bluff and we’re actually going to use this flask for liquor carrying. Crazy, you say? We’ve been called worse…

Sandals with a Flask!
September 18, 2007

Reef has the DRAM sandals which advertise that they have a “Polyurethane encapsulated canteen in heel with screw cap.”
To me, that basically means they have a flask in them.
I think this may be one of the best solutions to having a hidden flask that I have ever seen! I mean, even when these babies are not helping sneak sweet sweet booze with you where ever you are going, they are still sandals! Reef sandals. Which are pretty cool, especially if you are going for the whole surfer-type-look thingy.
No idea how much liquid these sandals actually hold. I could see that being a deal-breaker. I’m personally hoping that I could carry enough liquor under my feet to get really wasted… It’s like a dream of mine.
You can pick up some flask sandals for about $45 at a bunch of stores (check the Reef website). More expensive than a regular flask or even an easy to hide soft flask, but like I said, they are still sandals too!
Hippies and preps are going to miss out I guess, because I don’t think that Birkenstock or Rainbow have got anything like this. College Drinker actually really appreciates Reef sandals. After all, they were the ones who also had the bottle opening sandals. Maybe those guys over there are some former College Drinkers themselves…

Pocket Shot: More On-The-Go Booze!
September 14, 2007
Continuing with the theme of easy to hide, portable liquor… we stumbled upon these Pocket Shots. Basically, it’s a shot of hard liquor in a soft flask. Just what we need to slip through all those pesky pat-downs and metal detectors but still bring our booze with us. The company says, “Pocket Shot is a brand new way to enjoy your favorite hard liquor. No longer will you need to carry full size bottles. Gone are the breakable glass mini bottles. Now you can have it one shot at a time, any place, anywhere.” One of these places, as listed on their website, is rollerblading! And another one is shopping! That is the one thing I hate about shopping - I’m not getting totally shitfaced while I’m doing it! Thank you Pocket Shot for finally solving this problem!
The Pocket Shot is a good idea for concerts and other venues where the typical metal flask can’t be snuck in, but they already have soft flasks, that are refillable. And I bet it’s a lot cheaper than a few of these pocket shots…
And if you are buying the pocket shot so that you can booze up while you’re rollerblading or shopping, then I think your problem may be much bigger than a soft flask can solve.
Booze Tubes - For the Alcoholic on the Go
September 13, 2007
So, need to find a way to sneak booze with you where ever you are going? If a flask is way too obvious, then try the new GO Wodka. These little beauties come in 7 different flavors with ABV ranging from 4% all the way up to 16%! No one will ever suspect that inside that toothpaste-looking tube you’ve actually got some really, really fruity looking booze. It comes in flavors like extreme Lemon and Cranberry and peach.
Probably not a good idea to be carrying this around if you’re… you know, like not a 17-year-old high school girl… but hey, it’s gotta be great for them when they want to get “sooooo wasted” at their little house parties!
Check out their site for some really weird techno music if you’re into that kinda shit… [link]
