Miller High Life

It takes a certain amount of nerve to declare yourself “the champagne of beer, “but Miller High Life pretty much pulls it off. Just like champagne, this beer says fun with an edge of class–a good time but not a stupid time.

The High Life website (www.millerhighlife.com) is refreshingly honest on this point. Unlike most beer sites which claim their beer is God’s gift to man, this one says, “There are other beers out there that are just as good as Miller High Life. Of course, these beers cost a whole lot more.” Hard to argue with that.

If you’re looking for an interesting taste, Miller High Life is not your beer. None of the flavors you normally note in a beer–fruity, bitter, chocolate or caramel–is present in High Life. It’s just carbonation and beer-taste. But you can fix this by adding a little salt, or just by drinking it ice-cold.

My favorite way to enjoy this beer is sitting outside on a warm spring evening, especially after a hard day of working or exercising outside. This is the perfect beer to enjoy as the weather gets warmer. So pick up a six-pack, set up the old hammock, and enjoy.
