Oops I Passed Out: Accidentally Drunk

I love beer. The only problem with beer is that once you drink it, it’s gone. So the other day I decided to make some mixed drinks instead. It was a laid-back Wednesday evening, my roommate and I were going to play some Rock Band and make it and early night.

We figured we’d have one Coke&Rum, just get a little buzz going. But of course, since we’re only having one, we’d better make it strong.

Rum & Coke #1

We played some damn good Rock Band. Finished a 6-song set in Chicago and hit the 44 million fan mark. I decided my bassist should shave his mustache and put on a trench coat. Since we played so well, we figured we might as well have another drink.

Naturally it’d be way lame to make less-strong drinks than the first ones, so we made these slightly stronger.

Rum & Coke #2

We decided to raid the kitchen and taunt our other roommates. After cleaning out a bag of Doritos, we thought we’d better chug this drink so we would play better.

We decided to take on a massive 10-song set in New York. Song three was rocked so hard we had to tip over the couch at the end of it. This is about when I blacked out.

Next Morning

I woke up the next morning naked on my floor, my bookshelf and desk chair overturned. Apparently at 4am we walked through a blizzard to a bar that closes at 2. So be warned, mixed drinks can be dangerous.

If you’re going to be making mixed drinks, consider measuring them out with a shot glass so you can gauge just how drunk you’ll get. Being drunk is sweet, but being accidentally drunk can cause some problems. Tonight when we tackle a 5-song set in Amsterdam, I’m going to be drinking a beer.
